Just sit and enjoy the quiet and read a book or find some adventures exploring the area. There are several towns and city's close by with dining options, shopping and antiques, seasonal events and fairs. Here is a starting list for your review.

Historic Woodbury, the small town with friendly people built on the beautiful hills above the river where the church bells still ring.

    You will find small grocery stores, Piggly Wiggly and Woodbury Market and Deli for  supplies.

    The Woodbury Town Square Historic Court House, Restaurants, Coffee House, Antiques, Shopping, Specialty shops like the Wellness Emporium, just off the square with their Thursday Bread Day, I never miss!

     Walking/exercise parks along the river.

     Six R Farm – Strawberries.

     Fishing Access at E Fork Stone’s River and Rush Creek near the Arts Center and Kayak Launch. License and local laws apply.

     Eat and Drink: Short Mountain Distillery, Rustic Grounds Coffee House, Sophia’s off the Square, DJ’s Steak and Pizza, Chilango’s Mexican Restaurant, A&J’s Diner, Golden Greek Gyro and Fast-Food Drive throughs.

     Events include: *Cannon County Christmas Celebration on the Square, 3rd week of November.

     *2024 Cruise-In on Town Square, cars, trucks, unique vehicles. Monthly April through September.

     OK Corral Gun Range   Bring your own or rent. Shoot where the Sheriffs train.

     Arts Center of Cannon County   Theater, Music, Fine Arts, Crafts and Gifts, Concerts, Farmers’ Market, Kayak launch.

     Four Corners Market and Bulk Foods – Amish store with lunch and ice cream! Closed Sundays and Holidays – map provided to individual farms.

     Just a short 40 minutes away is the Nolensville Feed Mill and Amish Country Market – experience the Amish foods and crafts.

Readyville,  Experienced a devastating Tornado Spring of 2023. The homes and businesses are being restored or rebuilt. The historic Post Office is complete and operational. The local farms and homes remaining are all beautiful and it was a blessing no one was killed. The communities came together and assisted and are still at work, helping Readyville recover.

Murfreesboro, is only 10 miles down 70S/John Bragg Hwy…it has unlimited entertainment options and full city amenities with a municipal airport and World Outreach Church.
